Individual funding opportunities
- Our present affiliation is partially funded by institutional funds of Academy of Sciences (< 5%).
- Therefore, national, international and privately funded projects are vital for our department.
- In this page are listed links for triggering several opportunities to join the group at various levels.
Post-doctoral (individual) level
- Marie Curie Post-doctoral fellowship. Deadline is usually in September each year. Contact us at least 4 months in advance to apply. Theoretical proposals go to T. Derrien. Warning: experimental proposals will go to Prof. N. M. Bulgakova and Prof. A. Bulgakov.
- GACR national grants. Submission deadline is usually early April, and answer comes in end December for start as post-doc in early January.
PhD student level
Given the activities of our group, the preferred doctoral school is the Charles University (Prague), department of Condensed Matter. Funding is usually linked to a national or European project that we are responsible for.
In the present situation, we have no opening for PhD studies.
Opportunities can be provided through:
- Programme Hubert Curien “Barrande”, with the French Embassy of Prague, and French Institute of Prague.
- MSMT (Czech Ministry of Research).
Internship
It is necessary to contact T. J.-Y. Derrien the earliest possible in the year, as it is necessary to apply for funding to undertake an internship at HiLASE. Possible opportunities are:
- Erasmus+, however our experience is that they usually cancel funding at last moment.
- MSMT Czech Ministry of Research, Education, Youth and Sports.
